There is a locker room, but barely. I’m not sure how it passed code inspection because it does not meet ADA. You have to provide your own lock. There is a dry sauna, but it would only hold two people. They have towel service, but only hand towels – not shower size towels. (From the look of the showers, no one had used them all day anyway.) They have tanning, which seems inappropriate for a facility dedicated to good health. There is a day care room, but it was unstaffed at 6:00 pm. There are no classes or equipment for kids, not even a pool, so it’s not a place anyone would want a family membership – even though FAMILY is in the name.
Great gym. Small but qualitatively speaking it has everything you need vs want. For the price and friendly staff it's definitely worth the money. I learned my lesson going to LA Fitness which is why I felt much better signing up with Powerhouse.
This gym looks better on paper than it does in real life. I was not impressed.
I visited only once on a free trial on a Wednesday evening. It’s small but clean. The equipment is jam packed into every corner but it wasn’t crowded with people. None of the equipment is labeled. Even as an experienced gym goer, there were things I wasn’t sure how to use. The rooms are cheaply built and decorated – the previous paint scheme is still visible because they didn’t use enough coats of the current color. That lack of attention to detail says a lot about the quality of the gym.
they have a daycare with very friendly daycare workers. lots of toys too. just a tip for any parents who can't find much time at the gym. :-) :-)
This gym has down hill over the years. Recently they decided to upgrade the Spin bikes and a few other pieces of equipment. The members were made to upgrade their membership even with paying annual fee if they want to go to Spin class. The gym is now going to be adding TRX classes.... but guess what?!?! They are charging extra. Amazing the owner doesn't realize she bought an established gym with many regular members who are now angry. I've never been at a gym where there have been so many complaints about how things are run. The bathrooms are nice unless you shower and the showers aren't cleaned, the same q tip on the floor for weeks or the same dirty razor for days in the shower. They charge extra for everything including for sauna that is cheap and small, type bought at Costco for home not gym use! Seriously this place is ridiculous
Great place to work out the showers just havent been cleaned since last Christmas. Same pieces of gum are on the wall. But great environment to get those gains lol
